Throughout this Digital Civilization class that I have been blogging for, there has been many entries among my classmates. Some of them have stood out to me, and I have nominated a few entries for their awesome content and connection. And the Nominee's are.....
1. Historical Content - "Adventures in the Galapagos" by Epic Doesn't Begin to Describe. Blog by Andrew Dewitt.
--I think this one stands out because it's a cool, personal experience with a place that has a lot to do with Evolution, one of our content subjects. I think Andrew did an excellent job explaining to us his connection with this place, yet talked about it with conciseness and brevity.
--This blog entry is a pretty great display of thinking of our digital world, and really thinks toward progression and how it affects our education systems. "Going to college is not the only way we learn anymore. Books are becoming less and less authoritative."
3. Computing Concepts (Digital Lab) - "Gulliver's Travels and the Tilt Shift Effect" by The Low Down w/ Mo Town. Blog by Morgan Wills.
--I tend to be a little biased, because I am always searching for a great photoshop effect, but I really think this post is a great lab. It has good screenshots, and easy-to-understand directions for the user to apply a really cool effect to a photo. The results that Morgan shows us are awesome, not to mention.
4. Self-Directed Learning - "Capitalism and a Brief Introduction to Microfinance" by It's a Wonderful Life. Blog by Jeffrey Whitlock.
--Any entry that can simplify math and economics majors is highly valuable in my eyes. Jeffrey did a nice job explaining a concept that is difficult for my right-brained attitude, and he also applied it to the contemporary problems we face, which I think has been one of the focuses of this class all along.

Thank you very much Madeline! I appreciate your nomination and the kind words.
